Clarithromycin 125 - Clarithromycin 125 is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. This medicine may also be used in combination with anti-ulcer medicines to treat specific types of stomach ulcers. It can also be used to prevent specific bacterial diseases. Clarithromycin is known as a macrolide anti-microbial. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This anti-infection treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral diseases (such as the common cold, influenza). Using any anti-infection when not needed may not be effective for future diseases.
Before taking clarithromycin, tell your primary care doctor or pharmaceutical specialist if you are adversely affected by it, or to other macrolide anti-toxins; or if you have any other sensitivities.
