Uses

Minoxidil solution and foam are used to promote hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness. It is not used to treat men's frontal baldness or receding hairlines. In addition, the foam and 2% minoxidil solution are used to promote hair growth in women with thinning hair. Minoxidil is a type of medication known as a vasodilator. It is unclear how minoxidil stimulates hair growth. This medication should not be used if you are experiencing sudden/patchy hair loss, unexplained hair loss (for example, if you have no family history of hair loss), or hair loss after giving birth. Do not use this product if you are under the age of 18.

How to use

Read and follow all instructions on the product package before using it. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns.

 Clean and dry the affected area before applying the medication. This product can be used on damp hair. Fill the applicator with 1 millilitre of medication (to the 1 millilitre line) or apply the solution with 20 drops. Part your hair in the thinning area and evenly apply the solution to the affected scalp. Gently massage in. Allow the solution to dry completely before applying additional styling products (such as gels or mousse) or going to bed.

 Before applying the foam, thoroughly rinse and dry your hands. Apply a half-capful of foam to the scalp and rub it in gently. Allow the foam to completely dry before styling or going to bed.

If scalp irritation is a problem, avoid using minoxidil on days when your hair is coloured or chemically treated (for example, permed).
