About MINOXIDIL+FINASTERIDE
FINASTERIDE+MINOXIDIL is a combination drug that is primarily used to treat alopecia (hair loss). FINASTERIDE+MINOXIDIL promotes hair growth and slows the onset of baldness. It is used to stimulate hair growth in men with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). Alopecia is defined as hair thinning or loss on the scalp or any other part of the body. Androgenetic alopecia is baldness caused by permanent hair loss from the scalp.
FINASTERIDE+MINOXIDIL is a combination of two medications, Minoxidil (vasodilator) and Finasteride (5-alpha-reductase inhibitor). Minoxidil is a vasodilator that opens potassium channels and widens blood vessels. This vasodilation process aids in the delivery of oxygen, blood, and nutrients to hair follicles, preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth. Finasteride inhibits 5-alpha-reductase. It lowers dihydrotestosterone (male hormone) levels, preventing hair follicle thinning in people with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss).
