A dermatological drug called MOMETASONE+TERBINAFINE is primarily used to treat fungal skin infections. It is used to treat a variety of skin disorders, including tinea versicolor, eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch (lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, and arms, or legs). Eczema is a skin disorder characterised by irritated, scratchy, rough, and cracked skin patches. Skin cells rapidly grow in psoriasis, a disease that causes bumpy, uneven red areas that are coated in white scales. A fungus infects and damages skin tissue to cause a fungal infection.

Treatment for fungal skin infections include eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, dermatitis, and tinea versicolor involves the use of MOMETASONE+TERBINAFINE. Mometasone (a corticosteroid) and Terbinafine make up the compound MOMETASONE+TERBINAFINE (antifungal). The corticosteroid mometasone prevents the chemical messenger prostaglandin from being produced, causing the afflicted area to become red, swollen, and itching. Eczema and psoriasis-related inflammation and itching are efficiently treated by it. In order to cure fungal infections, the antifungal medicine terbinafine prevents the formation of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane (a substance present in fungi to maintain cell integrity). This results in the death of the fungal cells.
